Boyd Ranch Girls

Boyd Ranch's "Dally up!"

Here is what Boyd Ranch Susan has to say about her Dally...
Dam of Cutter

Dally is our "Sweet and Sensitive girl". She always seeks perfection and hates any kind of drama or trouble within her "pack" (she's the peace keeper). She is an excellent "cattle dog" working for miles so eloquently and always ready to do more then is expected (She has honed her skill at herding wild birds-so fun to watch).  Her "mission statement" in life is "to keep all cattle and birds at least a one-hundred feet from the house".  If wild birds gets near her food bowl she will herd them away as if she's saying "Step away from the food bowl!"  We can actually see her love for us (in her eyes) and she makes sure we know it by climbing into our laps to snuggle and get her pets. She a wonderful mother and has a new best friend from Desert Willow Aussie's, our sweet new puppy "Little Bit".

Boyd Ranch's "Reata"

Here is what Boyd's Ranch Susan says about her Reatta..

Reatta is definitely the Boyd Ranch "PARTY GIRL"!  She is totally her "Mother Omega's Daughter".  She loves to be the center of attention and is the happiest dog one has ever seen. She's extremely intelligent and can learn anything very quickly (and she even smiles on command!) She is a very "Cowy" cattle dog and will not quit, with endless energy (in fact she'd drive cattle to the North Pole if I asked her to!)  She loves to ride in the pickup truck and running along side us on our four wheeler or when we're on horseback. Reatta is more then a dog, she's a family member and simply adores our youngest son (following him wherever he goes).  One of her favorite things to do is play fetch and lives to learn new tricks.  If she wasn't so busy being a "Working Ranch" dog, I believe she would be perfect for agility.

Boyd Ranch's "Little Bit"

Here is what "Boyd Ranch" Susan says about her "Little Bit"..
Desert Willow's Little Bit (Officially named)

Dam of Trendy

Little Bit is the Boyd Ranch "Princess" and our "OFFICIAL" greeting committee (all wrapped up into one dog). She is absolutely beautiful and has such sweetness in her personality which melts our hearts because she just adores the puppies and is the designated "Angel" over all the litters at Boyd Ranch! Her belief is that she is perfectly made and that everyone is her best friend (like it or not). Her Mother is Desert Willows Marilyn Monroe and her father is an an Agility Champion (Robert Redford). Like her Grandma Omega, she loves to play fetch with balls and Frisbee's. It's amazing to see her spring straight up 6 feet from a complete stand still! This "Boyd Ranch Beauty" is as fast as a rabbit and loves water (just like her Grandpa Kodiak). She would swim in our cattle "water tanks" all day if we allowed it (sharing her "toothy" smile and "waggin" butt). We just love our Little Bit!

Boyd Ranch's "Sadie"

Here is what "Boyd Ranch" Susan says about "Sadie"..
Dam of Skidboot

Sadie came to us all grown up!  It's amazing at how well she settled in (she "literally" unpacked her bags, moved in to take on her new role as a "Ranch Dog"). While searching for a "puppy" to bring up on Boyd Ranch, I was struck by her beauty (her pedigree too from the "Hangin' Tree" line with five Hall of Fame dogs in her lineage). I knew in that moment we had to take a chance knowing she had not been around livestock before.  We are AMAZED how she took to the cattle and is training in perfectly to work along side us. She is extremely smart and "Very Cowy" and her instincts to read the cattle is unbelievable (it's just bred into her.) She is exactly what we look for because of her calmness, and working cattle quietly. Then after we're done she is just happy to sit on the porch with the "pack" (and us) to get her treats & pets.  She has fit in so well with our current dogs for not growing up here, not a quarrel among them.  You'd never know she was not raised from a pup here.  We are excited to see what her puppies will be like, and just so "Blessed" to find her! She is a great addition to Boyd Ranch. She's a lovely pet who has fallen deeply in love with me so quickly (the feeling is mutual).
Did you hear??? There's a couple of new girls in town!
